Apart from Vegemite whats the best foods for vitamin B?
Im curious to whats the best source for Vitamin B apart from vitamin tablets? A natural means of food to get this vitamin
There are at least 8 different B vitamins:
Vitamin B1 (thiamine)
Vitamin B2 (riboflavin)
Vitamin B3 (niacin or nicotinamide)
Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid)
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine, pyridoxal, or pyridoxamine)
Vitamin B7 (biotin)
Vitamin B9 (folic acid)
Vitamin B12 (various cobalamins; commonly cyanocobalamin in vitamin supplements)
So I guess it depends on which ones you are asking about. For the most part, the best source of the B vitamins is from fortified breakfast cereals. Other than that, Clams are a rich source, as well as beef and chicken. Liver has been touted as rich in B vitamins as well.
Some non-meat sources include bananas, beans and beer!
