16 weeks with a terrible headache!?
This is the third day of unbearable headache. I can not get no relief! My consumption has not changed caffine – Drink a glass a day (8 oz only), as I always have. Do not take medicine generally but have given in the last two days and tried to Motrin (which my doc recommended) in vain. Tried pressure points, neck and shoulder massages, aromatherapy, and even cold compresses on the temples and the back of my neck, and yet not collapse. Any advice? Is this normal? I know I'm not dehydrated or malnourished – I've been drinking a liter of H2O and headache that started!
I have terrible migraines with my son, and my current pregnancy is no different. Tylenol or Motrin do not touch, and eventually I was prescribed a narcotic. I was assured that what was required was safe in pregnancy as long as it was used sparingly and only when absolutely necessary. See if your doctor can not give more strong that it is also safe. I had to use several times Vicodin while pregnant with my son just to take the edge off my headache. I hated the idea, but it was impossible to function without him.
