Policosanol – useless or not? Who should we believe?
Policosanol is a natural product derived from sugar cane produced in Cuba, which is widely advertised in many countries as a very effective against atherosclerosis. Cuba Numerous studies support the effectiveness of policosanol, which has been confirmed also by a large trial in Moscow. However, independent verification of the Netherlands and Germany have shown that policosanol derived from sugar cane is useless.
